01 The challenge
Google Ads can put you in front of people at the exact moment they search for what you sell — but it is also easy to spend heavily on the wrong searches. Accounts built on default recommendations, without reliable conversion tracking or regular search-term reviews, often optimise for clicks instead of customers. The result is rising costs and little clarity on what the budget is actually producing.

04 In depth
Why tracking comes before spending
The most common problem we see in Google Ads accounts, at every budget level, is not bad keywords — it is unreliable tracking. Without it, the account optimises for clicks, and you cannot tell which keywords bring customers. Before any meaningful budget goes live, we set up and test conversion tracking for completed form submissions, calls, WhatsApp clicks and purchases. Our analytics and reporting service covers how we do this in detail.
Choosing the right campaign types
Google Ads is several advertising products under one roof. We use each where it fits:
- Search shows text ads to people actively searching for what you offer. For most service businesses, this is the starting point because intent is highest.
- Call ads and call assets let mobile searchers ring you directly from the ad — useful for urgent or high-value services.
- Shopping and Performance Max suit online stores and accounts with good conversion data, but need clear guidance and careful monitoring.
- Display is mainly useful for remarketing — reminding people who visited but did not enquire.
Video campaigns on YouTube are covered by our dedicated YouTube advertising service.
Keywords, negatives and match types
Good Google Ads management is as much about the searches you exclude as the ones you target. “Website development course”, “free logo maker” and “digital marketing jobs” can all trigger ads for an agency if nobody is watching. We review search terms regularly and build negative keyword lists so your budget goes on people who might actually buy.
We group keywords tightly by service or product so each ad and landing page can speak directly to what was searched, which tends to improve both relevance and cost. Location targeting is set to the areas or countries you genuinely serve, and ads are scheduled around the hours your team can respond.
Landing pages that match the ad
Sending paid clicks to a generic home page wastes money. The page should repeat the promise in the ad, load fast on mobile, show trust signals such as reviews and real photos, and make calling or enquiring obvious. We advise on your existing pages or build focused landing pages through our website development work.
How to judge a Google Ads account
A few questions tell you whether an account is in good shape:
- Are conversions counted from completed actions, not button clicks?
- Has anyone reviewed the search terms in the last fortnight?
- Is budget moving towards the campaigns with the lowest cost per real enquiry or the best return on sales?
- Can you see the same numbers in your own account that appear in reports?
If several answers are no, an audit is a sensible first step.
Budgets and ad spend
We recommend budgets based on keyword research and your goals, start with enough to learn, and adjust once real data arrives. Ad spend is typically paid directly by you to Google, which keeps every rupee, dirham, pound or dollar visible in your own account. Google Ads often works well alongside SEO, covering the gap while organic visibility builds and sharing search-term data that improves both.

Pricing: Our management fee is separate from your ad spend. As is standard practice, ad spend is typically paid by you directly to Google from your own account. We quote the management fee after an audit or planning call.
How much should we spend on Google Ads?
It depends on how competitive your keywords are, the markets you target and how many enquiries or sales you need. We estimate likely costs per click from Google's Keyword Planner before you start and suggest a test budget that is large enough to learn from. You can then adjust once real data comes in.
Is the ad spend included in your fee?
Typically not, and that is standard practice. Your ad spend is paid directly to Google from an account your business owns, using your own payment method. Our management fee is billed separately. This keeps spending transparent — you can see exactly what Google charged.
Can you guarantee a number of leads?
No. Lead volume depends on search demand, competition, your offer, your landing page and how quickly enquiries are answered. What we can do is make sure tracking is accurate, wasted spend is cut and the budget goes where the data shows results.
Should we use Performance Max?
Sometimes. Performance Max can work well for online stores and accounts with good conversion data, but it gives less control over where ads appear. For many service businesses we start with Search campaigns and add Performance Max once tracking is reliable and there is enough data to guide it.
Can you run campaigns for markets outside India?
Yes. We manage campaigns targeting other countries, with location, language, currency and ad scheduling set for each market. We work remotely from Ongole and keep reporting aligned to your time zone, so the account is reviewed on your working days as well as ours.
Who owns the Google Ads account?
Your business does. We create or use an account in your name and manage it through access you grant. If we stop working together, the account, its campaign history, conversion data and billing remain yours, and you simply remove our access.
