01 The challenge
When people search for a service nearby, Google shows a short map list before anything else — and businesses with incomplete profiles, few reviews or inconsistent details are easily passed over. Multi-location brands face the same problem at scale, with duplicate listings, unclaimed branches and details that drift out of date. Local visibility is often lost through neglect rather than competition.

04 In depth
How local search works
When someone searches “dentist near me” or “AC repair Ongole”, Google usually shows a map with a short list of businesses before the regular results. That list is driven mainly by three things: relevance (how well your profile matches the search), distance (how close you are to the searcher) and prominence (how well known and trusted your business appears, including reviews and mentions across the web).
You cannot change where your customers are standing, but you can control relevance and work steadily on prominence. That is what local SEO is — and it applies equally to an independent showroom and a brand with branches in several cities.
Your Google Business Profile comes first
For most location-based businesses, the Google Business Profile is the single most important listing. We make sure it uses the right primary and secondary categories, lists your actual services or products, shows accurate hours (including holidays), and has real photos of your premises, team and work. We also confirm eligibility: Google expects either a real address customers can visit or a service-area business that travels to customers. Virtual offices do not qualify, and we will not set one up.
Reviews, collected the right way
Reviews influence both rankings and whether people choose you. We build a simple habit: ask satisfied customers soon after the purchase or visit, send them a direct review link by WhatsApp, SMS or email, and reply to every review. We never write reviews, buy them, or offer discounts in exchange — that risks your profile and misleads customers.
Consistent details everywhere
Your business name, address and phone number (often called NAP) should match across your website, Google, Justdial, Facebook, Instagram, maps apps and industry directories. Inconsistent or duplicate listings confuse both Google and customers. We find and fix them, branch by branch.
Managing many locations
Multi-location brands need local SEO to run like a system rather than a series of one-off fixes. We set naming conventions, agree who can edit each profile, keep hours and offers in sync, and give every branch a location page with genuinely local detail — directions, parking, nearby landmarks, the services offered there. Reporting is broken down by location so you can compare branches and spot problems early.
Location pages that are actually useful
If you serve several towns, a page for each area can help — but only when it says something genuinely useful about how you serve that place. We avoid near-identical pages with the town name swapped, which add little value and can hold your site back. Location pages live on your website, so they work best alongside wider SEO services and a site that is easy to update.
A word on service areas and distance
Setting a service radius on your profile tells Google where you work. It does not mean you will rank throughout that radius. A business in Ongole will usually find it easier to appear for searches made in Ongole than for searches made 40 km away. If you need visibility further afield straight away, Google Ads with location targeting can fill the gap while local SEO builds.
Measuring local results
We track calls, direction requests and website clicks from each Business Profile, plus enquiries from your website, so you can see whether local visibility is turning into customers. Businesses in and around our home base can read more on our Ongole page.
Pricing: Local SEO usually starts with a one-time setup and clean-up, followed by an optional monthly plan. Multi-location work is scoped by the number of profiles. We quote after an audit.
Local SEO & Google Business Profile: common questions
Have a different question? Ask us directly.
Can every business get a Google Business Profile?
Not every business qualifies. Google requires a real business that serves customers in person — either at a physical address customers can visit, or as a service-area business that travels to customers. Virtual offices, co-working addresses you do not staff and PO boxes are not allowed. We check eligibility first and set up each profile according to Google's guidelines.
If I set a service area of 30 km, will I rank across that whole area?
No. A service area tells Google where you work, but it does not guarantee you will appear in searches throughout that area. Map rankings depend heavily on how close the searcher is to your business, along with relevance and prominence. Location pages and reviews help, but distance always plays a part.
Can you manage profiles for several branches?
Yes. For multi-location businesses we organise profiles into a single business group where possible, keep naming, categories and hours consistent, give each location its own page on your website, and report by branch. Each branch must still meet Google's eligibility rules — a staffed, real location — before it can be listed.
Will you write reviews for us or offer customers discounts for reviews?
No. Fake reviews, reviews written by staff and reviews offered in exchange for discounts or gifts break Google's policies and can lead to reviews being removed or a profile being suspended. We help you ask genuine customers at the right moment and make leaving a review easy.
How long does local SEO take?
Fixing profile details and inconsistent listings can help within a few weeks. Building reviews and local authority takes longer — usually several months of steady effort. Progress depends on your competition, how complete your profile is and how consistently new reviews come in. We report monthly so you can see what is changing.
Can you remove a negative review?
Only Google can remove a review, and only if it breaks Google's policies, such as spam or offensive content. We can help you report reviews that genuinely break those rules and write calm, professional replies to fair criticism, which future customers often read.
